Your Team
Interlink sits between the public phone network and Microsoft Teams — providing dial tone, call routing, and managed SBC services.
How Interlink Direct Routing Works
Your team keeps using Teams. We handle everything behind the scenes.
Your Team Uses Microsoft Teams
Your employees already use Teams for chat, meetings, and collaboration. Direct Routing simply adds PSTN dial tone — incoming and outgoing calls — directly inside Teams with zero added apps.
Interlink Acts as Your Dial Tone
Interlink provisions a certified Session Border Controller (SBC) connected to our carrier-grade VoIP network. Every call your team makes or receives flows through Interlink's infrastructure — not Microsoft's expensive Calling Plan.
We Design & Configure Everything
Our engineers design your call routing, auto-attendants, hunt groups, and dial plans. We migrate your numbers, configure voicemail, and set up holiday schedules — all before go-live.
Ongoing US-Based Managed Support
We monitor your SBC around the clock and own every support ticket. No navigating Microsoft's ticketing system. Call or email your dedicated Interlink engineer directly.
Everything Microsoft Doesn't Offer
Microsoft sells you a license. Interlink gives you a complete, managed communications service.
Unlimited Plans
Replace metered Microsoft Calling Plans with flat-rate unlimited domestic calling. No per-minute overages — ever.
Turnkey Onboarding
Interlink engineers design your entire dial plan, migrate your numbers, configure every hunt group and attendant, and hand you a live, tested system.
Real Human Support
Skip Microsoft's ticket queue. Your dedicated Interlink engineer picks up the phone. Same-day resolution is our standard, not our goal.
Custom Design
Multi-level IVR, branded greetings, holiday schedules, call-flow diagrams — built exactly for your business, not a generic template.
Carrier-Grade Reliability
Redundant SBCs, geo-diverse routing, and 99.999% uptime SLAs back every call your team makes. Failover is automatic — not manual.
Keep Teams. Ditch the Bill.
Your team keeps using Microsoft Teams exactly as they always have. We just replace the expensive Calling Plan with better, cheaper dial tone.

Common Questions
Do we have to replace Microsoft Teams?
Not at all. Your team keeps using Teams exactly as they do today for chat, meetings, and files. Direct Routing simply adds business phone calling inside Teams — no new apps, no training.
What Microsoft licenses do we need?
You need Microsoft 365 Business Voice or Teams Phone licenses (without the Calling Plan add-on). Interlink provides the Calling Plan replacement via Direct Routing. We'll advise you on the exact licensing before you commit.
How long does deployment take?
Most deployments go live within 5–10 business days. Number porting from your existing carrier typically takes 2–4 weeks and runs in parallel — your existing numbers never go dark.
Can we keep our existing phone numbers?
Yes. Interlink manages the full number porting process from your current carrier. We handle all paperwork and coordinate the cut-over — zero downtime for your business.
What happens if something breaks?
Your dedicated Interlink engineer is your first and only call. We own the entire stack — the SBC, carrier trunks, and Teams configuration — so there's no finger-pointing between vendors. Most issues are resolved same-day.
Is this more expensive than Microsoft Calling Plans?
Almost always less expensive — especially for teams that make frequent outbound calls or need international calling. Microsoft's metered plans add up fast. Interlink's flat-rate model eliminates overage surprises and typically saves 30–50% vs. native Microsoft Calling Plans.
